The Kings Arms, Christchurch

The Kings Arms hotel is a beautiful, Historic building set in the heart of Christchurch, Dorset. Dating from 1801 it offers a lot of character and charm. 777 Hotels took the property over and renovated it ready for a big relaunch in 2025, and we had the pleasure of shooting it!

We had a lot to cover, the dining rooms, bar, reception, events room and various bedroom configurations. A lot of thought had gone into the new decor and we wanted to do it justice. The dining room and bar areas were particularly rich in colour and detail, dreamy for us to capture!

As always the wide shots were captured with our 19mm tilt shift lens, with various focal lengths engaged for the details. The exterior shots were quite tricky from a logistical point of view, we cleared all cars from teh front car park, and had to wait for the sun to poke out from behind the clouds, all while avoiding traffic! We also took a lot of signage out in post to clean the image up and show the building in it’s bets light.

The function room was fully set up for a wedding; ceremony and then changed for a reception, giving the hotel assets to show how potential customers could use the space.

The result; a set of images assets to be used online, in brochure and on social channels to show off the hotel in it’s current form.
